2023 Honda Pilot

The entry-level LX trim comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, and keyless entry. A step up to the Sport gets you 20-inch wheels, roof rails, and LED fog lights, or you can choose the EX-L for 18-inch wheels and a programmable power liftgate. The TrailSport comes with 18-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, extra ground clearance, a class III hitch, and underbody skid plates. It also has a panoramic sunroof and recovery hooks. For a more upscale Pilot, choose the Touring. It has a hands-free power liftgate, while the Elite has a heated windshield.

Every 2023 Pilot uses the same 3.5-liter V-6 engine. It produces 285 horsepower and works with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive comes standard, and all-wheel drive is optional for every trim except the Elite and TrailSport, which have it standard. The engine has the power to propel the Pilot to 60 mph in just six seconds. The updated engine and new transmission work perfectly together for smooth and confident acceleration.

The Honda Pilot is smooth and quiet on the road, with upgraded steering and stronger braking for 2023. Plus, you can choose between up to seven drive modes, depending on road conditions and driving style. If you want to tackle rough terrain, the new TrailSport has the extra ground clearance and off-road equipment to do so, including an all-wheel-drive system with a Trail driving mode. When equipped with the tow package, the Pilot can pull up to 5,000 pounds.

The Pilot has plenty of room for up to five people. The entry-level model has cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats. You'll get a leather-wrapped steering wheel in the Sport, along with power-adjustable and heated front seats, while the EX-L adds driver's seat memory settings and tri-zone automatic climate control. The top-level Elite has a heated steering wheel and heated second-row seats.

Technology in the Pilot starts with a 7-inch touchscreen that's compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The EX-L upgrades to a 9-inch touchscreen, plus wireless charging and a nine-speaker stereo.

Every 2023 Honda Pilot comes with the Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver aids. This bundle includes a forward collision warning system with automatic braking, lane-keep assist, driver attention warning, and adaptive cruise control. The Sport trim and above add a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert, while the EX-L adds front and rear parking sensors. The TrailSport and Elite trims come with a surround-view camera system. The Elite also adds a head-up display that shows important information within the driver's line of sight.
